Moving day, without the chaos
From the first box to the last key: a calm, week-by-week plan our clients actually follow.

Daniel Okafor
Advisor, Buyers & Rentals

Moving does not have to be chaotic. It does have to be planned. This is the week-by-week rhythm our clients follow, from accepted offer to the moment the keys change hands.
Six to four weeks out
Book movers as soon as escrow opens; good crews in Santa Barbara fill up two months ahead in summer. Start with the rooms you use least: garage, guest room, bookshelves. Donate generously and early.
Three weeks to moving day
Transfer utilities and internet to start the day before you arrive.
Pack a first-night box: kettle, sheets, chargers, a lamp and the coffee.
Photograph the back of the TV before you unplug anything.
Key handover
Your advisor meets you at the house for the final walk-through, checks that agreed repairs are complete and hands over every key, remote and manual in one envelope. Then we leave you to it.
